Project #2 : A Play In Damascus

Summer 2016 – Details coming soon

Project #1 : Photography Workshop

December 7th, 2015 – We’re very happy to announce that the first project we were able to fund is a photography workshop for Syrian children refugees now living in Shatila’s camp in Lebanon. Imagined by Syrian Eyes of the World, the workshop was given last week at بسمة وزيتونة – Basmeh & Zeitooneh by Youssef Shoufan and Antoine Entabi with the help of Manuel Caballero.

For more information (and pictures!) about the workshop:

And here’s a thank you message from the kids who had an amazing time during the workshop and wanted to thank the people who made it possible.

Who We Are

We’re artists based around the world who believe we can have a positive impact with our art.

Founder of the project

  • In September 2015, his passion for arts and his desire to support Syrians resulted in the creation of Art For Syria.
  • In March 2014, he founded Syrian Eyes of the World, a collaborative photography project where photographers with Syrian origins capture portraits of Syrians around the world.
  • In the summer of 2013, Youssef cofounded La maison de la Syrie, a cultural non-profit organization registered in Montreal, Canada, which hosts Art For Syria.
