Founder of the project
Youssef Shoufan is an independent multimedia creator born in Damascus and based in Montréal.
- In September 2015, his passion for arts and his desire to support Syrians resulted in the creation of Art For Syria.
- In March 2014, he founded Syrian Eyes of the World, a collaborative photography project where photographers with Syrian origins capture portraits of Syrians around the world.
- In the summer of 2013, Youssef cofounded La maison de la Syrie, a cultural non-profit organization registered in Montreal, Canada, which hosts Art For Syria.
